I am Anmol Pahwa, a postdoctoral scholar with Institute of Transportation Studies at University of California, Davis. Ever since my childhood I have been fascinated by public transit systems. And in my undergrad at Indian Institute of Technology – Delhi, I got the opportunity to study transportation systems for the first time. Since then I have been hooked onto The World of Transportation Science. And although moving people (public transportation) still remains one of my key academic interests, my current research focuses on moving goods (freight transportation). In particular, my research entails assessing sustainability and resilience of long-haul freight distribution and last-mile e-commerce deliveries, here, at University of California, Davis. I aspire to continue in academia to pursue my teaching interests as well as research on freight transportation in India. Beyond research, in my down time, I like to play football, study chess, and read fiction.
